The 2025 Australian Open is right around the corner. WTA and ATP players are participating in warmup events to prepare for the season’s first Grand Slam.
Two WTA players have withdrawn. They are Simona Halep and Karolina Pliskova. However, there are other players (both WTA and ATP) in jeopardy of not playing because of recent or nagging injuries.

ATP Players Who Might Be Forced To Withdraw From The Australian Open
Sebastian Korda withdrew from Brisbane International on December 31. He had elbow surgery last fall, and it is unclear if his recent withdrawal is related to that issue.
Nick Kyrgios made his long-awaited return to competitive tennis after nearly two years away at Brisbane International. He competed in both singles and doubles with Novak Djokovic. His surgically repaired wrist was painful and required a medical timeout and additional tape during his singles match.
