Divers Shixin Li and Nikita Hains have secured Olympic Games quota spots for Australia with victories at the Oceania championships.

Li triumphed in the men's three-metre springboard, while Hains saluted in the women's 10m platform on Thursday's opening day of the championships in Brisbane.

A dominant display left Li with a score of 456.65 to win ahead of fellow Australian Kurtis Mathews (416.60).

"I'm very happy ... I have been training hard in the lead-up to the competition and also coming back from an injury, so I am pleased," Li said.

Hains also logged a comfortable win with a final score of 314.90. Compatriot Milly Puckeridge (263.05) finished second.

"It's super-exciting to get the win," Hains said.

"This is the first competition of the season so I was a little bit nervous.

"But it has been really good to put all of my hard work into practice and get out there and compete again."

Two more quota spots, in the women's 3m springboard and men's 10m platform, for the Paris Olympic starting in late July next year are on offer on Friday's final day of the Oceania titles.

Australia's reigning 10m platform world champion Cassiel Rousseau is sitting out the championships after his win in Japan last July locked in a quota spot.

And stalwart Maddison Keeney is also skipping the titles, her silver medal in the mixed 3m springboard with partner Domonic Bedggoodat this year's world aquatics championships in Fukuoka also securing a quota spot for Australia in Paris.
