Australian Channel 10 show gets typical Leeds United welcome after setting up near Whites fans

Australian television presenters got a typical Leeds United welcome when they decided to go live in front of Whites fans during Sunday’s 1-0 defeat against Aston Villa. 40,000 supporters of both clubs packed into the Suncorp Stadium in a rare chance to see their Premier League idols in the flesh.

Unfortunately, Channel 10s coverage of the match decided it would be best to set up right next to a bunch of Whites fans, who jokingly bombarded the presenters with chants as they were live on air.

The Leeds United official Twitter account posted a video of fans chanting in support of rival network channel nine as the four presenters attempted to discuss the game. The presenters were seen laughing at the chants and gesticulating towards the fans, with it all seemingly taken in good spirits.

The Australian network weren’t the first to regret setting up in front of Leeds’ notoriously raucous following, with former Arsenal defender Martin Keown delighting the Leeds fans in front of his live analysis by getting pelted in the head with a ball before an FA Cup clash with the Gunners.

No doubt they will have learned their lesson for the future and will be presenting coverage of Friday’s friendly against Crystal Palace from a distance.
