STUMPS: Australia leads by 344 runs (Warner 17*, Labuschagne 3*)
By Jon Healy
West Indies will be happy with their fight with the bat and the early wicket of Usman Khawaja, but Australia is dictating terms as we head into day four.
David Warner says he thinks Australia will bat "normally" until about tea tomorrow.
"It's about trying to bat to give the bowlers a rest," he tells Fox Sports.
I guess we'll find out tomorrow if his captain agrees with him.
Simon and I will be back for day four, and until then, have a lovely evening.
11th over - Holder resumes
By Jon Healy
Last over of the day. Three overs short. Unsurprising that the first day mostly featuring Aussie bowlers doesn't meet the overs bowled requirement, but there were a few delays out of their control - a couple of concussion checks and such.
10th over - A bit of spin to mix things up
By Jon Healy
Roston Chase is into the attack.
Leg and regulation slip in place (classic leg and reg field), and Marnus just turns a single to the leg side.
But when Warner gets on strike, the leg slip is gone. Reg is the only close fielder.
A couple of wasted deliveries in this over. Warner happy to watch them go by.
9th over - Jason Holder is first change
By Jon Healy
Jayden Seales was barely sighted on day two, and here again the all-rounder has been preferred.
First ball is Harmison'd, and rightly called for a wide. I think the Aussies might rather it just be called legit. They don't need the run as much as they want the ball ticked off the sheet tonight.
Warner punches through off side for a single.
Neither batter in a rush.
8th over - Seven left today
By Jon Healy
Alzarri Joseph is targeting the hip of David Warner.
He strays too full and Warner clips through mid-wicket for three. That's good running, which you'd expect from this pair of jack rabbits.
7th over - Eight left in today's play
By Jon Healy
These two are both defending, so that first over was just an aberration.
Just a leg bye from that one. Not heaps of intent, although Labuschagne did try a pull shot. But it's pretty clear these guys just want to get through to day four with their wickets intact.
6th over - Joseph to Labuschagne
By Jon Healy
More than a few balls spewing out to gully as Marnus defends.
Maiden from the big man. And a good one to boot, constantly threatening the off stump.
5th over - Marnus Labuschagne strides out hot off his double ton
By Jon Healy
Roach is probing, but Labuschagne is off the mark immediately.
First test passed.
KHAWAJA IS GONE!
By Jon Healy
Oh that will hurt Khawaja. He's in good nick and missed out on the ton in the first innings, and he just hung the bat out at a wide one from Kemar Roach, feathering it through to Joshua da Silva, who juggled before eventually wrestling it into his grasp.
Khawaja tried to pull out of the shot as it left him late, but couldn't pull the bat back in time. Rough way to go.
4th over - Joseph charges in
By Jon Healy
Warner gets up the other end with one off his hip.
Almost a run-out! Khawaja gets one off the thigh to off side and Warner barrels through for a single, but a direct hit from the man coming in from cover would've seen him on his way.
And Warner is almost cut in half by a ball that zips just over his stumps.
3rd over - Roach goes again after his rough start
By Jon Healy
He'll want to keep Khawaja on strike for a little bit if Warner's going off chops like this.
Khawaja cuts behind point and gets back for a second after some slick fielding in the deep from Tagenarine Chanderpaul.
A single gives Warner the strike. Can he tee off again or was he just taking what he was given in the opening over?
"Yeah. No. No. No. Yes!" If that sounds like a single off a misfield, that's because it was.
2nd over - Alzarri Joseph at the other end
By Jon Healy
He's on the money to Usman Khawaja straight away and he leaves a ball that nips back and sails over off stump.
Warner clips off his pads, and then wears a shortish ball in the gloves. Looked like he completely lost that one.
1st over - David Warner and Usman Khawaja take their places out in the middle
By Jon Healy
Kemar Roach steams in for the West Indies.
There are some awkward shadows being cast across the pitch, so this will be an awkward 14 overs for the Aussie openers, especially Warner, who's in a real slump.
FOUR! No, eight!! That bloke in a slump gets two big top-edges to the third-man boundary. He's batting at a strike rate of 400 at the moment.
Not great bowling, ugly batting. Cricket.
Two punched through cover, and the Aussies' intent is clear. In saying that, this is pretty much how David Warner always bats.
Cummins finishes it off and the West Indies are all out for 283
By Jon Healy
Alzarri Joseph is the last man to go, holing out as he tried to pull Cummins into the deep.
David Warner takes the catch and then immediately runs off to go get padded up and add to this 315-run first-innings lead.
Pat Cummins and Mitchell Starc finish with three wickets each, Nathan Lyon got two, and Cameron Green and Josh Hazlewood had one each.
A pretty trademark team effort from this bowling unit.
So Australia, you'd think, will bat aggressively within reason — more ODI than T20 — as they look to get this lead back out beyond 500 before sending West Indies back in and hopefully giving themselves enough time to take 10 wickets in the fourth innings.
Smudge takes a cracker and Roach is gone for a duck!
By Jon Healy
Roach tried to belt a wide one and got a thick edge to first slip, where Steve Smith moved brilliantly to take a rapid chance.
He made that look really easy, as he often does in the field, but that was a truly great catch. Would have been spinning like mad because Roach gave that shot everything.
98th over - Kemar Roach is out in the middle for the Windies
By Jon Healy
Lyon will continue.
And Alzarri Joseph has almost hit it straight to Marnus at bat-pad, but it was too low, too fast and nutmegged him.
Wicket number 201 for Pat Cummins!
By Jon Healy
He gets one to nip back into the pads of Roston Chase and he's sent on his way 13 off 42.
Excellent delivery from Cummins. That was plum. Not a lot you can expect a number eight to do in the face of that.
97th over - The skipper targets Chase
By Jon Healy
Roston Chase is keeping out some really accurate, persistent bowling from Pat Cummins.
This will be frustrating for the Aussies.
Must say, hasn't been any follow-on chat, but if this tail hangs around, the West Indies will force their hand.
