David Warner and Mitchell Marsh became only the fourth opening pair in the history of the World Cup to score centuries in the same match. This feat had never been achieved before by an Australian opening pair.

Record-Breaking Partnership

The partnership between Warner and Marsh, which reached an impressive 259 runs, stands as the second-highest opening partnership in the history of the World Cup. Furthermore, it is the highest opening partnership ever recorded by an Australian pair in the World Cup.

Warner's Consecutive ODI Tons

David Warner's century against Pakistan marked his fourth consecutive One Day International (ODI) century against Pakistan. This achievement ties him with Virat Kohli, who also has four centuries against a specific team in this format.

Marsh's Birthday Century

Notably, Marsh is the first Australian to do so. He is also the second player to score a World Cup century on his birthday, following in the footsteps of Ross Taylor.

Australia's 200-Plus Partnerships
