Australian skiers have continued to dominate the World Cup podium with aerial queens Laura Peel and Danielle Scott taking medals in Kazakhstan.
With less than a year until the next Winter Olympics, Peel positioned herself to claim a third World Cup crystal globe by winning her fourth gold of the season, while Scott bagged bronze.
Peel qualified last into the 12-skier final, with Scott in top spot, but then landed both triple back somersaults in the first final and then the medal round to secure the 13th World Cup victory of her career.
In the super six final the Canberra athlete scored a massive 115.91 points for her back full-full-full jump ahead of China's Olympic champion Xu Mengtao with 101.74, while Scott scored 87.06.
Abbey Willcox finished sixth, jumping a double full-full and scoring 65.56.
"I feel great, really relieved. I think I got a little lucky, I snuck into the final, so I'm just happy to be jumping," said 35-year-old Peel.
With one World Cup round remaining at Livigno, Italy, which doubles as a test event for next year's Olympics, Peel only needs to finish 12th or better to secure the Crystal Globe.
Scott is currently third in the overall standings, while Willcox is sixth and Airleigh Frigo ninth.
"I'm in a good spot, but I don't want to get too ahead of myself. One jump at a time, but I'm really happy," Peel said.
Meanwhile in Turkey, Josie Baff and Cam Bolton partnered to win Australia's first ever snowboard cross mixed team World Cup gold medal.
Bolton had a great opening leg, leading from start to finish to give Baff a small lead heading into the final women's run which the Jindabyne speedster was able to maintain.
Baff, who won bronze in the women's race, held off a strong challenge from Great Britain's Charlotte Bankes to claim victory by four hundredths of a second.
"Cam and I had been wanting to be in a team for a while and he gave me the perfect amount of lead that I needed," 22-year-old Baff said.
"I knew that if I had the track to myself, I was going to be hard to pass, so it worked out well for us today and we are really happy."
A second Australian team featuring Jarryd Hughes and Mia Clift finished in 13th.
