It is well known by now that Los Angeles Lakers guard Austin Reaves is an avid golfer. He has become so confident in his skills on the links that he decided to try his hand at the American Century Championship, a celebrity golf tournament taking place near Lake Tahoe.
The competition began on Wednesday, and although Reaves struggled in the first round, he shot a 71 in the second round.
Along the way, he found a way to have a little bit of fun while flashing his allegiance to the Purple and Gold. He saw a Golden State Warriors fan wearing a Klay Thompson jersey, and he told that fan he “might have to throw that jersey in the lake.”

Thompson, of course, left the Warriors to join the defending Western Conference champion Dallas Mavericks just days ago in a sign-and-trade deal. The Warriors’ dynasty, which had been on life support for the last year or two, is now officially dead, as the team lost a major lynchpin of its four NBA championship squads over the past decade.
