Austin Butler has added another impressive project to his growing filmography by joining director Darren Aronofsky's upcoming movie. The Oscar-nominee is set to star in Aronofsky's crime thriller 'Caught Stealing' for Sony Pictures, based on the book by Charlie Huston. The screenplay will be penned by Huston and follows the story of Hank Thompson, a former baseball player thrust into the criminal underworld of '90s NYC.

Aronofsky expressed his excitement about the collaboration, stating, 'I am excited to be teaming up with my old friends at Sony Pictures to bring Charlie's adrenaline-soaked roller coaster ride to life. I can't wait to start working with Austin and my family of NYC filmmakers.'

Butler's partnership with Sony Pictures is not new, having previously worked with the studio and Quentin Tarantino in 'Once Upon A Time...In Hollywood.' He also has 'City On Fire,' based on Don Winslow's novel, in development with Sony Pictures, showcasing his commitment to strong industry relationships and collaborations with acclaimed directors.

Following his Oscar-nominated performance in 'Elvis,' Butler has continued to make waves in the industry. His role in the Band of Brothers sequel, 'Masters of Air,' premiered on Apple TV+ to significant success. He further solidified his talent with a standout performance as Feyd Ratha in 'Dune: Part Two,' which has grossed nearly $600 million worldwide.

In a unique turn of events, Butler will also be seen in 'The Bikeriders,' set for release on June 21. Aronofsky, known for acclaimed films like 'Requiem For a Dream' and 'Black Swan,' most recently directed Brendan Fraser to critical acclaim in 'The Whale,' which premiered at the 2022 Venice Film Festival and garnered attention during awards season.
