Manchester United-linked midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni has opened up on the strong midfield partnership he has formed with Paul Pogba on the international stage with France.
The AS Monaco star, who has been closely linked with a move to Old Trafford in recent months, is one of the hottest properties in European football and has been making significant strides in recent months. Turning 22-years-old just two months ago, the Frenchman has been linked with several big-name European clubs, such as Chelsea and Real Madrid, plus United.
With Pogba set to leave Old Trafford this summer following the expiry of his contract, a number of Reds supporters have identified Tchouameni as the ideal replacement for the former Juventus man. He is a solid defensive-minded midfielder and has energy in abundance to get up and down the pitch.

Following a string of fine performances for Monaco, he has become a regular in the France squad in recent months, earning eight caps following his debut in September against Bosnia. He also netted his first goal for his country on Friday, scoring in a 2-1 friendly triumph over the Ivory Coast.
He has spent most of his relatively-short France career so far playing in midfield alongside Pogba, meaning he has learnt from a vastly-experienced figure to aid his development. And for Tchouameni, getting the opportunity to play alongside the United midfielder has served him well.
Tchouameni told Le Parisien : "As soon as I arrived he guided me and gave me lots of advice both on and off the pitch. I thank him very much. Today, he is one of the people who made me feel good here."
On playing with him, he continued: "It happens naturally. Paul has a great quality of passing and he is always carried forward. Since I arrived he is the player with whom I have spent the most minutes on the pitch. It's natural.
"We manage to delegate certain tasks. There is a nice complementarity. With N'Golo [Kante] and Adrien [Rabiot], it's also easy because they are also great players."
Back in September, following Tchouameni's first taste of international football at senior level, he was lavished with praise by Pogba. The midfielder suggested that he was already playing at a much higher level than what he should be for his age.
"He's not a boy, he's a man," admitted Pogba. "It's a pleasure to play next to him, he provides a lot... plenty of energy, technical quality and extraordinary physicality. I hope to play plenty of games together and always be on his side."
