Aubameyang signs, Sterling starts - Thomas Tuchel's dream Chelsea front three after £300m spend

Chelsea's line-up for the West Ham game on September 4 could be very different from the one that will be fielded against Everton on the opening weekend of the Premier League season.

So far this summer, Todd Boehly has provided manager Thomas Tuchel with five new first-team signings with Raheem Sterling and Kalidou Koulibaly the standout ones that will be almost guaranteed to make the squad for the side that will travel to Merseyside after the pre-Everton press conference in the afternoon. Carney Chukwuemeka is seen as a future prospect that could potentially make an impact now whilst young goalkeeper Gabriel Slonina is one for the future as demonstrated by the Blues' action to loan him straight back to Chicago Fire for the rest of the MLS season.

Marc Cucurella's £63million transfer has bolster Chelsea's full-back, wing-back and centre-back departments whilst moves for Barcelona duo Frenkie de Jong and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang are also on the cards with the Catalan giants keen to do more business with the Blue following the expected Marcos Alonso coup. On the former Arsenal talisman, Fabrizio Romano was the first to report the news that Chelsea had been in contact with the player's camp ahead of sending a potential bid to the La Liga club who are in desperate need of raising funds to register new sign gins but most importantly to comply with the strict La Liga regulations.

The 33-year-old's primary wish is to stay longer than the few months he has been in Spain but if he was forced out due to Robert Lewandowski's arrival, it is also understood that he would be content to reunite with Tuchel following a successful relationship during their Borussia Dortmund days.

it would be a signing that would have many raising their eyebrows in surprise, but talkSPORT pundit and former Chelsea defender Jason Cundy has backed the club to make this left-field move for a proven Premier League goalscorer and golden boot winner.

"I feel Aubameyang suited Barcelona in a short-term contract. They don’t need him for the long-term," Cundy said. "They’ve got Lewandoswki, Raphinha, Ousmane Dembele, Ferran Torres, Memphis Depay. They’ve got so many attacking options, someone has to be sold.

"Especially because they need to register players. Chelsea in for Aubameyang, it makes sense. 100% it makes sense."

With the Blues on track under American ownership in their first summer to eclipse the £300million spending mark, as per The Telegraph, these new reinforcements could go a long way in creating more fear amongst opponents and rival fans who certainly are waiting for Chelsea to prove themselves again as a big club post-Roman Abramovich.

The state and foundation of the attack will certainly look different from the Everton game this weekend to the first fixture after the transfer window closes which is a London derby against West Ham. Therefore, football.london takes a look at Chelsea's potential best front three once this £300m spree is brought to an end.

With 92 netted in north London still showcasing the quality of the Gabonese striker, he would certainly be a starter upfront if he was signed, something Tuchel even commented on in his press conference.

"I would be interested in the 79 goals actually," he joked when asked about all the Dortmund goals Auba had scored under his management. "But I will not comment on Auba to Chelsea links."

Raheem Sterling and Mason Mount would be the two main starters plying their trade on the wing with the hope that they could potentially provide the ammunition for Aubameyang.

Alternatively, the player who fell out with Mikel Arteta has played games under his tenure and Unai Emery's on the wings meaning Tuchel has different options to consider with Kai Havertz and Armando Broja set to compete with the new attacking recruits.
