A Texas lawyer, Tony Buzbee, has come forward claiming to represent over dozens of potential victims of alleged sex trafficking by music mogul Sean 'Diddy' Combs. Buzbee, a former Recon Marine officer and head of a Houston-based national law firm, along with the AVA Law Group, is representing 120 new accusers in this case.
Buzbee issued a warning to the entertainment industry, stating that he intends to name names and pursue legal action not only against alleged accomplices but also enablers and those who turned a blind eye to the situation. While no lawsuits have been filed yet, Buzbee indicated that the first one could be initiated within a month.
He mentioned that most cases would likely be filed in New York and California, with the possibility of additional defendants being named, including individuals known to the public. Buzbee revealed that more than two dozen new accusers, some of whom were minors at the time of the alleged incidents, have reached out to him, with ages ranging from 9 to 15 years old.
Sean 'Diddy' Combs, through his attorney Erica Wolff, has vehemently denied the accusations, emphasizing that he denies any claims of sexual abuse, especially involving minors. Combs is currently in federal custody in New York without bail.
Legal experts suggest that credible civil lawsuits could lead to additional criminal charges, particularly if minors were involved. The pressure of potential civil suits may prompt Combs to consider a plea deal, although his legal team has indicated that he is not willing to accept one at this time.
David Gelman, a defense attorney following the case, highlighted the possibility of further investigations by the U.S. attorney's office and potential indictments if more evidence surfaces. The situation remains fluid, with implications for both civil and criminal proceedings against Sean 'Diddy' Combs.
