Tension prevailed for sometime at Ilapur thanda under Ameenpur police station limits of Sangareddy district on Wednesday when locals attacked two youths and beat them up.
According to Patancheru DSP S. Bheem Reddy, two brothers - Mohammad Javid and Mohammad Vazid- came to the tanda on a two-wheeler and taking a video of their land. “Their lands are in dispute and revenue officials have also declared them disputed land. On the advice of the lawyer, they were taking some photos and videos to show that some encroachments have been taking place on their lands and present it before the High Court. The injured persons have informed us that some houses are being constructed in their lands and one Ravi has instigated locals to attack them. Case is being registered under Section 307 of IPC. There was licensed revolver with one of the injured persons. We will also inquire about his past,” said Mr. Bheem Reddy.
The DSP said that the incident was in no way connected to MLA G. Mahipal Reddy as alleged by some people. The injured came to Ilapur tanda to verify and take photos of their ancestral property, he added.
Mr. Bheem Reddy said that a case was registered against former sarpanch Ravi and some others in this regard and investigation is on.
