Atletico Madrid look set to rival AC Milan for the signing of Armando Broja. The 21-year-old was heavily linked with an exit from Chelsea in the summer. The Albanian forward impressed while out on loan at Premier League side Southampton last season.
football.london understand that West Ham showed strong interest in the striker, along with Everton too. It's believed that several clubs in Europe were also interested and are keeping tabs on the Albania international.
Broja, who recently penned a new deal which keeps him at Stamford Bridge until 2028, has started just once for the Blues this season, directly contributing towards one goal. He's impressed in cameo performances off the bench, managing to reportedly court the interest of AC Milan.

According to Calcio Mercato, Diego Simeone's side are plotting an overhaul of attacking talent ahead of the upcoming transfer windows. Atletico's decision to do so follows a somewhat uninspired start to the season, with the Colchoneros one of the lowest-scoring sides in the Champions League group stage.
The report states that Broja is one of the names on Atletico's list. Calcio Mercato add that Milan chief Frederic Massara has been in contact with the Albanian's representatives on a number of occasions in recent weeks.
It's said that the Italian giants and Chelsea have discussed Broja's future. The report adds that, with the Rossoneri long-term admirers, the Blues are slowly warming to the idea of selling the striker and have reportedly set an asking price of €35million (£30m).
Should the report from Italy be believed, the west Londoners' willingness to sell Broja comes as Potter looks to sign a new striker in January. According to French outlet Jeunes Footeux, former Arsenal target Jonathan David has been shortlisted and is being considered as an heir Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
The Canadian's impressive displays once attracted the interest of Mikel Arteta before the Gunners opted to sign Gabriel Jesus instead.
