Atlanta United have reportedly made a £15 million offer for Crystal Palace striker Odsonne Edouard, with a move for Celtic forward Kyogo Furuhashi seeming increasingly unlikely.
It comes after reports emerged on Wednesday that the MLS side were closing in on an £18 million deal with Middlesbrough for Emmanuel Latte Lath.
According to Sky Sports, the club will sign just one striker to fill one of their Designated Player spots – with Ivory Coast international Lath the preferred option.

It is understood that Atlanta – managed by former Celtic boss Ronny Deila – have yet to discuss terms with Lath and have now made a move for their second target, Edouard, currently on loan from Palace at Leicester City.
The MLS club have been linked with Celtic’s Kyogo Furuhashi in recent weeks, however a bid for the Japanese international now appears to be off the table as Atlanta look to other options.
While US interest for Kyogo seems to have cooled, Celtic are reportedly braced to receive a £10 million transfer offer for the striker from Ligue 1 club Rennes, as reported by The Scottish Sun on Wednesday.
However, according to reports in France, Rennes sporting director Frederic Massara has not sanctioned an official bid for Kyogo.
Kyogo's future in Glasgow has been the subject of intense speculation in the January transfer window after the MLS accidentally published a story suggesting he had signed for Atlanta.
An apology was issued over the error with the MLS club now moving on to different targets.
