The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms and Explosives (ATF) is actively involved in investigating the Palisades fire, as stated by Jose Medina, Acting Special Agent in Charge of ATF Los Angeles Field Division during a recent update.
Medina revealed that approximately 75 dedicated personnel from ATF and partner agencies are collaborating to process the scene and pursue investigative leads related to the Palisades fire.
One of the key tasks undertaken by the teams involves collecting video footage and photographs from individuals in the vicinity as well as from social media platforms. Additionally, interviews with witnesses and first responders are being conducted to gather crucial information.
Medina emphasized the importance of providing answers to the community, acknowledging the widespread desire for clarity surrounding the incident. However, he highlighted that ATF is committed to delivering comprehensive answers only after completing a thorough investigation.
Regarding the timeline for the investigation, Medina mentioned that no specific duration has been set, indicating that the process will continue until all necessary information is gathered.
