NASHIK: One person died and around 25 others were injured when a private bus rammed into a stationary truck on the Mumbai-Agra highway under the Igatpuri police station in the early hours of Friday.

The Igatpuri police said that one person is dead, some people are admitted in the government rural hospitals around the accident spot.

The Igatpuri police said that the deceased person is yet to be identified.

PSI Hari Raut of the Highway Police at Ghoti said that a truck had developed some mechanical problem and it was parked on the side of the road on the Mumbai-Nashik lane of the highway. Reflectors were also put up a few meters ahead of the truck.

However, the bus driver heading from Mumbai side towards Nashik apparently failed to see the reflector or the signboard and rammed into the truck at around 4.30 am.
