At least two Georgia Bulldogs will be playing in Super Bowl 59. However, up nine former Georgia players could play in the Super Bowl.
A minimum of two former UGA players from the AFC championship will advance to the Super Bowl. The Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills both have multiple Georgia players expected to play in the AFC championship.
The Chiefs have former UGA wide receiver Mecole Hardman and defensive end Malik Herring. Both Hardman and Herring have won Super Bowls in the past. Last year, Hardman scored the game-winning touchdown in overtime of the Super Bowl. Kansas City is looking to advance to their third straight Super Bowl.
The Bills have former Georgia running back James Cook, center Sedrick Van Pran and defensive tackle Zion Logue (practice squad). Buffalo is hoping to make their first Super Bowl appearance since 1994.
In the NFC championship, the Washington Commanders have no former Bulldogs, but Philadelphia Eagles have six former Georgia players.
The Eagles have former UGA standouts defensive tackle Jalen Carter, linebacker Nakobe Dean (injured), cornerback Kelee Ringo, edge rusher Nolan Smith, defensive tackle Jordan Davis, and safety Lewis Cine.
Super Bowl 59 will be played on Feb. 9, 2025, in New Orleans, Louisiana, at 6:30 p.m. ET. The Super Bowl will be televised on Fox.
