Shilpa Shetty is truly an age-defying beauty and at the ongoing Lakme Fashion Week in partnership with the FDCI, the mother-of-two turned heads in a printed catsuit as she turned showstopper for Limerick.
She looked sensational in the printed, figure-hugging, full body suit with a strategic cut out and teamed it with a luxurious, matching, long trench coat.
The Limerick label created by designing duo Abirr N’ Nanki, celebrated the rich, cultural, heritage of Kashmir with the collection titled Song of the Valley.
The fluid, feminine collection floated down the ramp with myriad versions of detailed paisley motifs that were cleverly merged into the jamavars, along with beautiful animal motifs that are often seen on the walnut wood carvings. Turning these artistic patterns into prints, the designers ensured that they gave a glorious heritage appeal to each garment.
The rainbow of colours played a gentle melody as an interesting line of hues like green, blue and magenta were brought to stylish forms that were both curved and straight. The base of the elegant garments was brought to its fashionable highlight, with a clever combination of sheer and solid. The fabric selection that started with crepe and chiffon moved onto organza for a sheer and solid story.
Silhouettes moved luxuriously in perfect unison to match the varying moods of the coming season. Flowing, floor-length printed robes, dresses, skirts, co-ord sets and flouncy fun wear, made a quick appearance on the runway to satisfy the requirements of the stylish dressers.
