Nostradamus, who is said to have 'predicted' Hitler's rise to power as well as the shooting of JFK and other significant world events supposedly claimed World War Three would unfold in 2022.
In 1555 Michel de Nostradame, better known as Nostradamus, published his book Les Prophéties, featuring 942 poetic quatrains and claimed to foretell the future.
The French astrologist believed that the ongoing war in Ukraine could spark a "great war", according to some interpretations of his prophecies.
He wrote: "Seven months of the Great War, people dead of evil-doing. Rouen, Evreux shall not fall to the King."
Many of the astrologists' followers have said the prophecy refers to an all-out global war caused by Russian President Vladimir Putin's invasion of Ukraine.
However, it seems that one location would withstand the war as the prediction refers to the French city of Rouen, located 200km from Calais, an industrial seaport in northern France.
It's difficult to pin down exact dates with Nostradamus' predictions as they're based on astrological movements. However, the forecast of war reaching Europe can be narrowed down to 2022.
The invasion of France by a threat from the east is a recurring theme throughout Nostradamus' predictions, but the following prophecy is speculated to be referring to spring of 2022: "Blue-head shall white-head harm in such degree. As France's good to both shall e'er amount."
Many believe this verse alludes to the breakout of WW3.
His prophecy also mentions a "Celestial fire on the Royal edifice", which many interpret as the "end of times" or the start of a new world order.
Nostradamus has many theories, including one predicting how and when the world could dramatically end.
This year, he reportedly predicted a war in Europe, despite it directly concerning the French capital of Paris, according to interpretations.
It reads: "All around the great City / Will be soldiers lodged by fields and cities."
The astrologer died over 450 years ago, but his prophecies have astonished those who follow his work.
According to Yearly-Horoscope, more than 70 per cent of his 6,338 prophecies have been fulfilled so far, including Adolf Hitler's rise to power, World War II, the 9/11 terrorist attack, the French Revolution and the development of the atomic bomb.
According to believers, Nostradamus also appeared to have predicted the start of the coronavirus pandemic of 2020.
Now it is believed that the rest of his predictions may come to pass.
