Manchester City take on Aston Villa this weekend as Pep Guardiola's side look to make it three successive wins in the Premier League.
City have continued to flex their attacking muscles this season, spearheaded by Erling Haaland, after the Blues fired six goals past Nottingham Forest on Wednesday night. The Norwegian scored a first-half hat-trick at the Etihad, just four days after his second-half hat-trick against Crystal Palace.
Haaland has now scored a staggering nine goals in five league appearances , and is already only six shy of Kevin De Bruyne's 15 goals that saw him finish as the club's top goalscorer in the Premier League last season. Steven Gerrard will be all too aware that should his side try and get any kind of result against City, they must find a way to stop the Norwegian.

Goals have also been hard to come by for Villa this season - they have only managed to score four goals in five games so far, less than half of Haaland's individual contributions for the Blues this league campaign. One of Villa's goals came directly from a corner on Wednesday night during their 2-1 loss at the Emirates Stadium, after Douglas Luiz managed to curl the ball past Aaron Ramsdale and into Arsenal's goal - something that both Guardiola and Ederson would have taken a note of no doubt.
The Blues have an impressive record against Villa, having won their last nine games against them. The last time they suffered defeat came back in 2013 during a 3-2 loss at Villa Park - Yaya Toure and Edin Dzeko werethe Blues' goal scorers that day.
