Welcome to our football.london The Arsenal Way daily news round-up. Maybe not the first, we've definitely done transfer round-ups before, and European round-ups, so I guess in some ways it's not that new at all.
Anyway, we thought we would enter the world of football in a broad and roundabout manner for you and have some fun with some of the stories and captions doing the daily rounds.
Saudi club wants Aubameyang
It’s been reported that Saudi club Al Hilal are keen to sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang on loan and are prepared to pay all of his weekly wage of £350,000.
They are also willing to include an option in the contract that will give them the option to sign the Gabonese international in the summer, on a permanent basis.
Our take: I’m not surprised if Arsenal would let the player go, especially after the players' disciplinary issues that have mounted in the latter part of his career at the Emirates. If they pay the wages then it’s likely that he would leave too.
Villa eye Nketiah
The Athletic have reported that Eddie Nketiah has caught the eye of Steven Gerrard’s Aston Villa. His current contract at the club ends in the summer with the player previously having said that he would like more playing time at the North London club.
Nketiah has also been linked with other clubs the likes of Newcastle and Crystal Palace. The striker recently impressed when he scored a hattrick in the Carabao Cup against Sunderland.
Our take: It would be an attractive offer if it promises consistent playing time.
Juventus firm on loan deal
According to Sky Sports Italia, Juventus will not let Arthur Melo leave on loan to Arsenal unless the club includes an obligation to buy clause in the contract deal.
This comes as Mikel Arteta and the club are on the hunt for a midfielder as the club are lacking depth and sometimes quality too - which was the talk of one of our Arsenal Agenda streams.
This may mean Arsenal look elsewhere as they’d like the option to trial out the player, instead of being in some ways stuck to sign the player.
