Goalkeeper Aston Oxborough has joined Motherwell on a two-year deal - after being signed for the club by previous manager Graham Alexander.
The 24-year-old was awaiting international clearance being granted and during that time Alexander has since being replaced at the helm by Steven Hammell, who was announced as the club's new permanent manager on Thursday.
Oxborough goes straight into the squad for today's trip to Pittodrie to face Aberdeen and will be expected to provide competition for first-choice shot-stopper and club captain Liam Kelly.
Scott Fox is also on the books at Fir Park but is temporarily stepping up to the role of goalkeeping coach, following Andy Dibble exit earlier in the week.
On signing for the Steelmen, Oxborough told the club website: "This is a really good club full of good people.
“I’m excited to be here and I’m looking forward to the season ahead.”
He is the club's fourth summer signing following the arrivals of midfielders Josh Morris and Blair Spittal, as well as right-back Paul McGinn.
