Ubisoft has once again opened pre-orders for "Assassin's Creed Shadows" ahead of the game's March 2025 release and listed its PC specs requirements.
The latest entry in the franchise is set to launch on Mar. 20, 2025, following two delays where its original November 2024 release was pushed back several months. "Assassin's Creed Shadows" offers players a choice between two protagonists, Naoe and Yasuke.
Assassin's Creed Shadows Opens Pre-orders
Additionally, the publisher detailed more information about the game's upcoming first expansion, Claws of Awaji, which adds more than 10 hours of content. The DLC will come free for players who pre-order the game within this period.
When talking about the PC requirements, Ubisoft added that the game will support raytraced global illumination and reflections.
Additionally, "Assassin's Creed Shadows will feature an in-game benchmark tool for performance analysis, ultra-wide resolutions, an uncapped framerate, and much more.
Probably the best thing that was detailed in the announcement is that players will be able to customize several aspects of their gaming experience. These include configuration, controller layouts, keyboard and mouse configuration, and many more, according to Ubisoft.
When the game launches on Mar. 20, 2025, it will be coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Ubisoft+, and PC. Players on the latter platform will be able to purchase the game through the Ubisoft Store, Steam, and the Epic Games Store.
Various Editions of the Game
On top of getting the Claws of Awaji expansion for pre-ordering "Assassin's Creed Shadows," players who purchase the game now also get the "Thrown to the Dogs" bonus quest.
Ubisoft's latest entry aims to deliver an immersive experience with a story set in feudal Japan.
The two characters, Naoe and Yasuke, will have their intertwined stories take players on a journey through a rich historical setting. The former is a skilled shinobi assassin while the other is a large, powerful African samurai, 9meters said.
There are three editions that players can choose from when pre-ordering or purchasing "Assassin's Creed Shadows."
The Standard Edition costs $70 and only includes the base game. The Digital Deluxe Edition costs $90 and adds the Sekiryu Dual Pack, Sekiryu Hideout Pack, and Mastery Points.
Lastly, the Collector's Edition costs $300 and includes everything the previous editions give to players.
Additionally, it also provides various physical content, such as a Steelbook, World map, figurines based on the two protagonists, Naoe's life-sized Katana Tsuba, Wall Creed Scroll, a 76-page collector's artbook, and two Sumi-e lithographs, according to Esports.
