Asha Bhosle reveals the gift she received from sister Lata Mangeshkar six months before her death; watch

Dance India Dance L'il Masters will see veteran singer Asha Bhosle appearing as a guest. On the show, she will recall some of her fondest memories of sister Lata Mangeshkar, who passed away on February 6 this year.

On the dance reality show, Asha got everyone emotional as she talked about the last gift she got from Lata Didi. She revealed that five-six months before her death Lata didi told her to ask whatever she wants from her. Asha said that she asked for an old saree with her signature. The singer showed the saree to everyone. It made judge Mouni Roy emotional. Asha said the saree is more precious to her than all the material wealth of the world.

In another promo, Asha recalled their childhood days. She said there were many trees in Kolhapur and Lata would be chased by others as she threw stones on the Gulmohar tree. Their mother used to call Lata 'jafarabadi bhains' as she had long pigtails. Even for stopping her sometimes, the sisters used to pull Lata's pigtails.

Yet another promo sees Asha saying that Lata believed that washing parents' feet and drinking that water is a blessing as parents are bigger than god. Asha shared on the instructions of Lata she once bought the water and washed her parents' feet. Even though the elder sister refused to drink the water, she drank it after Lata asked her to.

Asha Bhosle will also get emotional after watching a dance act based on Lata Didi and her. Lata Mangeshkar died of multi-organ failure at Breach Candy hospital on February 6. The day saw many paying tributes to the 'Nightingale of India'.
