Ashleigh Barty is hoping to become the Australian Open’s first home women’s singles champion in 44 years as she meets Danielle Collins in Saturday’s final in Melbourne.

Remarkably, Collins will be her fourth American opponent in a row, the 27th seed having upset Poland’s Iga Swiatek in her semi-final.
