A mum was reduced to tears in an Asda store until a worker stepped in with a kind gesture. The customer, who had young children, had lost a £20 note she was going to use to pay her energy bill.
The woman approached a member of staff named Sue to see if it had been handed in and became "upset" when she was told it hadn't. However, she was taken aback by what happened next after the kind-hearted worker told her: "Follow me".
Adele, community champion at the Grange Road store in Ellesmere Port, explained: "The lady has young children, so when Sue asked her what she had needed the money for, the lady replied ‘for electric’. Sue, out of the kindness of her own heart, then replied ‘follow me' and took her to the cashpoint in the store, took £10 from her own bank account, and gave it to the customer."

Adele added: "The lady was taken aback by her kindness. She was so grateful that she returned to store the next day to give Sue back her £10", reported the Echo.
Sue, who has worked for the supermarket giant for 25 years, has been praised by her colleagues and nominated for an Asda 'service superstar award' for the gesture. Her manager Caroline added: "I am so proud of Sue and her amazing random act of kindness, you are such a credit to our store."
Many people have also praised Sue for her kindness. On Facebook, Liz commented: "A lovely thing to do Sue you are a lovely kind lady." Nicky added: "Such a heartwarming post. Asda staff are so kind and caring."
Joyce wrote: "Thank you for helping that lady - it could happen to anyone good you were there bless you." Joan put: "We really do have some very kind people amoung us they deserve to be known for there kindness your truly are a hero."
