ASDA has announced it is opening three new convenience stores in Scotland.
The company has kick-started its program to convert 116 Co-op petrol forecourts into Asda Express sites.
The first store part of the program, in Birkhill in Dundee, opened on October 5 and Asda has now revealed a further three Scottish stores are planned to open before the end of March 2024.
They will be located in Dounby, Broadford and Aberfeldy.
Asda acquired 132 sites from the Co-op last year in a £438 million deal as part of its long-term strategy to become the UK’s second largest supermarket by moving into the growing convenience market.
The converted Asda Express sites will stock up to 3000 branded and own-label products.
