Asda, Tesco, Morrisons, Sainsbury's, Tesco and M&S Queen's Jubilee bank holiday opening times in Leeds

The Queen's Platinum Jubilee is finally here and the nation is celebrating her majesty's 70th year on the throne.

Many Brits are enjoying an extra long weekend as the historic jubilee bank holiday spans across four days of celebrations commencing Thursday June 2.

There are many events taking place up and down the country including street parties, afternoon teas, concerts and so much more as the whole country celebrates the monarch - here's a guide to everything happening in Leeds for the Queen's Jubilee.

However, the special four day weekend could mean that some supermarkets are operating at different hours than usual, so it's worth checking before you head out.

Here's what you need to know when it comes to supermarket opening hours over the Platinum Jubilee bank holidays.

Asda

Asda stores operate different opening hours according to location.

Asda's Killingbeck superstore in Leeds is open from 12am to 10pm on Thursday June 2 and 6am to 10pm on Friday June 3 and Saturday, June 4.

Asda Beeston will be open 7am to 10pm on Thursday, June 2 and Friday June 3 and 7am to 11pm on Saturday June 4.

However, hours can vary from store to store, you can check your nearest stores' hours here.

Morrisons

You can check whether your branch of Morrisons is open during the bank holiday weekend here.

The Leeds Guiseley store, for example, is open from 6am to 11pm on both bank holiday Thursday and Friday.

The Leeds Hunslet store at Penistone road is also open for its normal hours, 6am to 10pm on both bank holiday days as is the store on Bramley Swinnow Road - Leeds.

M&S

Marks and Spencer is always a popular food shopping destination for special occasions. The chain's Leeds Briggate store is open from 8am to 7pm on both bank holiday days, Thursday and Friday, and usual hours for Saturday and Sunday June 4 and 5.

The Pudsey store, at The Owlcotes Centre Varley Street, is open from 8am until 8.30pm on both bank holiday days. You can check all your local store hours here including the Food Hall stores across Leeds.

Sainsbury's

As a general guide, Sainsbury's stores are open from 7am to 8pm on bank holiday Thursday and Friday, including the Leeds Headrow Superstore and the Leeds Headingley Superstore locations. You can check your local branch here.

Tesco

Tesco has also revealed its bank holiday opening hours and there are some changes to note.

The Leeds Briggate Express store will be open from 6am to 11pm on the Thursday and the Friday, whereas Leeds Bond Street Express will open from 8am until 8pm over the bank holiday.

The Portland Crescent Express store will be open from 6am to 12pm on the Thursday and the Friday.

Aldi

Normal opening hours will remain in place at Aldi stores over the bank holiday weekend. These times apply on both Thursday, June 2, Friday, June 3 and Saturday, June 4. Sunday, June 5 times are 10am to 4pm.

However, it is always best to check your local branch for their opening hours. Aldi has a handy store finder online to check opening hours at specific stores.

Lidl

Lidl is expected to remain open during the Jubilee weekend. Their website says that they will be operating at normal hours during the bank holiday.
