Asda, Tesco and Morrisons warning as customers urged not to eat pasta bake and fish

Pasta and fish are the latest items that you may have to check on after warnings were sounded by supermarkets regarding certain products. Morrisons, Tesco, Asda and more have recalled a number of items in recent weeks, with customers urged not to eat them but instead return them to the store for a full refund.

You do not need to have your receipt to get your money back. When a product is recalled, for any reason, the Food Safety Agency (FSA) shares details on what you should do if you have bought the item, as well as detailed information on why the product is being pulled from shelves.

Here are some of the items being recalled from the UK's leading supermarkets.

Asda

Asda is recalling Asda Italian Inspired Chicken and Bacon Pasta Bake because it contains mustard, which is not mentioned on the label. This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to mustard, Liverpool Live reports.

Product details

Asda Italian Inspired Chicken and Bacon Pasta Bake

  • Pack size: 400 g and 800 g
  • Use-by dates: 29 July 2022 and 30 July 2022

Asda is recalling the above product from customers and has contacted the relevant allergy support organisations, which will tell their members about the recall. The company has also issued a point-of-sale notice to its customers.

These notices explain to customers why the product is being recalled and tells them what to do if they have bought the product.

If you have bought the above product and have an allergy to mustard, do not eat it. Instead, return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund.

John West is taking the precautionary action of recalling John West Boneless Sardines in Sunflower Oil and John West Sardines in Olive Oil because of a possible microbiological contamination risk.
