With the weather only turning colder and the price of energy having soared, many of us are desperate to find cheaper ways to stay warm this winter.
There are a number of tips and tricks to avoid the cold without using lots of energy doing the rounds at the moment. And it can sometimes be hard to work out what is best. But Asda shoppers are raving about a heated throw that is said to cost pennies to run.

With a rating of above 4.5 stars on Asda's website, shoppers are raving about their new purchase and its money saving potential, Birmingham Live reports. Made by Silentnight and available for £40 at Asda, the electric throw is described as "super-soft" which "provides extra cosiness, whilst the three heat settings allow you to choose a temperature that is just right for you".
One customer said: "This was my second purchase as a gift, both were bought with the price of switching on heating at the forefront of my decision. My sister and grandson agree 'it’s the best present ever'. Both have health issues and keeping warm helps and the central heating can be kept off and this throw uses a minimal amount of electricity keeping costs down."
A second said: "The blanket is really soft and cosy and heats up very quickly. Hoping it will help with the huge energy price increases and I won’t need my heating on so often!"
