Asda shoppers can earn themselves a free voucher worth £5 to spend in store or online this month at the supermarket. It comes as the retailer wants to encourage customers to download and use their Asda Rewards app.
Asda Rewards, launched last August, provides personalised offers for shoppers, who can earn money back on selected products to build a ‘cashpot’, which can then be used towards their shopping.
And now, the supermarket is offering a ‘First Scan Bonus’ which will give customers the chance to receive £5 in their cashpot.

Shoppers can simply download the app, sign up for an account and scan the app at the checkout to claim the voucher. Customers who have previously downloaded the app but are yet to scan for the first time, will also benefit from the bonus.
The ‘First Scan Bonus’ will run from Wednesday, April 13 until Wednesday, May 3, available both in-store and online with no minimum spend required.
The bonus £5 deal was initially introduced in February, where ‘hundreds of thousands’ of Asda customers benefited, with over £2 million earned through using the popular Rewards app.
At the start of April, Asda increased the number of personalised missions that users will have access to, which will allow shoppers to earn extra rewards to build up their cashpot. Customers will see an evolution of their offers within the app over time based on how they use it.
Shoppers can also expect new missions and ‘Star Products’ - also a chance to boost rewards - every week and for events such as the King’s Coronation and half term.
When shoppers have more than £1 in their pot, they will be able to create a voucher, with the maximum voucher amount at £100. You can find out more about the Asda Rewards app here.
