Asda selling Ben and Jerry's cookie dough for 50p with shoppers calling it 'addictive'

One Asda shopper spotted that the supermarket chain was selling a Ben & Jerry's cookie dough product for a bargain price, and quickly shared the news online.

The retailer now stocks Ben & Jerry's Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Chunks for only 50p in some stores, down from the usual price of £4.50.

The product description on Asda's website reads: "Ben & Jerry's Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Chunks contain the dough, the whole dough, and nothing but the dough!

"No more spoon-digging for just one more doughy bite — now you can munch on dough chunk after dough chunk to your heart’s content. Just don't forget to store frozen, and you can snack straight from the bag!

"As much as we love ice cream — and oh do we love ice cream — for us, it has always been about the chunks."

The Asda customer who spotted the deal quickly took to the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group to inform others.

They wrote: "Asda bargain only 50p normally £4.50".

More than 720 members of the group liked the post, and over 1,400 left a comment giving their opinion on the deal.

"They are really nice," one said.

"Omg it's amazing," agreed a second.

A third revealed: "I went and brought 4 packs of these the other night".

Another shared: "I didn’t even know you could get this. I love their dough too".

"I didn’t even know they existeddddd," echoed a fifth.

A sixth stated: "need to look for these lol".

The original price was deemed "shocking" by one shopper (Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group)

"Be clearing that out I would," a seventh joked.

Others noted that the snack food can be picked up for far cheaper than the standard £4.50 Asda price at another shop.

"Always have these for £1 in Poundland," commented one user.

A second said: "They’re £1 in Poundland. F*** paying £4.95 they aren’t worth it!"

Another shared: "Shocking! I paid £1 in Poundland lmao".

"If anyone struggles to get some Poundland have them for a quid," wrote a fourth.
