Asda's Halloween product recall parents need to know

Asda has asked shoppers to return a Halloween costume for children following a product recall.

The George Girls Day of the Dead Costume in size 2-3, has been identified as not suitable for children under 36 months. The Day Of The Dead costume had been sold in store and online for £12.

It featured two pieces, a sequin heart detail, skeleton graphic print, hook and loop tape back fastening, mesh tutu and a matching eye mask.

It had a product barcode of 505919102663 / 505919102691. The garment had also undergone testing to the toy safety standards and met additional flammability requirements.

However, customers who have purchased the George Girls Day of The Dead Costume in Size 2-3 yrs, are now being asked to bring it back to their nearest store where they will be given a full refund. You do not need your receipt.

This issue does not affect any other sizes. Asda said: "We are very sorry for any inconvenience caused. If you would like any further information, please contact Asda Customer Relations on 0800 952 0101."
