Asda's 'banging' new salt & pepper pizza has shoppers 'disappointed' with one thing

Asda shoppers have been left 'amazed' by a new pizza, but there's one thing about the pizza that they 'can't understand'.

Popular foodie Facebook page Newfoodsuk shared the new 'Chicago Town Weekender Stuffed Crust Salt & Pepper Pizza' to its 274k followers. The post soon racked up over 2.3k likes and 5.6k comments from shoppers sharing their thoughts on the new pizza.

Newfoodsuk regularly keeps shoppers up to date with the latest new food items available in supermarkets and popular stores. The post read: "New Chicago Town Salt & Pepper Chicken Pizza now available at Asda [pizza emoji] [chilli emoji]."

With plenty of Asda shoppers sharing their excitement for the popular new pizza flavour, many were 'disappointed' with the choice of stuffed crust. The pizza features a tomato stuffed crust as opposed to a cheese one, and pizza lovers were left fuming.

One shopper commented: " Why would you stuff a crust with tomato sauce [sick emoji]." A second Asda shopper said: "Never understood the sauce in the crust, it should be cheese."

A third shopper said: "Why have they gotta stuff the crust with tomato! It would be banging otherwise." A fourth said: "If it had a cheese stuffed crust it would be perfect."

Not everyone was disappointed with the crust choice though, a fifth shopper added: "Everyone crying over the tomato crust, it’s actually so good, any form of cheese stuffed crust (frozen pizza form) it’s so rubbery and chewy."

The pizza is available to purchase online and in store for £5.
