An energy drink endorsed by YouTubers has been listed on eBay for thousands of times its retail price as fans scramble to snap up a bottle.
The Prime Hydration energy drink has been advertised as “the perfect boost” by YouTube superstars KSI and Logan Paul - leaving kids and teens queueing up to get their hands on the drink. Available only from Asda , Prime has so far flown off the shelves and is said to have sold out within minutes in many stores.
Logan Paul has 23.6 million subscribers on YouTube, while rapper KSI has 24 million, and even an Instagram account dedicated solely to Prime now has over a million followers - meaning that there were plenty of fans in the UK desperate to buy the sought-after drink. Teesside Live reported teenagers queuing outside their local Asda as early as 6am, before large groups rushed into stores at opening time to grab a bottle.

With Prime drinks now being difficult to come by, some sellers have capitalised on its immense popularity by listing bottles on eBay for eye-watering prices. Many listings for the drink, which is available in different flavours, are attempting to sell a single 500ml bottle for hundreds or even thousands of pounds - with prices soaring as high as £10k, Bristol Live reports .
The stars have spoken out on the frenzy over the drink, with KSI telling fans on Twitter: “You lot are doing too much”. During an episode of The Fellas podcast, KSI added: “It’s always sold out, man. Honestly, people are selling it on the black market.”
A statement from the pair on the Prime website reads: “Our goal was to create a fantastic hydration drink that can fuel any lifestyle. Over the past year, we’ve worked countless hours to formulate the product from scratch, lock in deals with the largest retailers in the world, and build a multi-hundred person team to get our products to the shelves.”
