Asda stores are gearing up for a busy May bank holiday weekend - but what opening hours can we expect?
The early May bank holiday falls on Monday, May 1, and supermarket opening hours can change to reflect this.
The good news is, Asda stores will still be opening their doors on the Monday - although exact opening times will vary from store to store.
You should check your local Asda store opening times on the supermarket's online checker tool before heading down.
Here is everything you need to know about Asda opening and closing times ahead of the first May bank holiday.
Asda early May bank holiday opening times 2023
Over the bank holiday weekend, opening times at Asda should remain unchanged on Saturday (April 29) and Sunday (April 30).
One Friday, its superstores usually open at either 6am or 7am and then close at either 10pm or 11pm - although some open until midnight.
On Saturdays, the bigger Asda stores open at the same time and close a little earlier at around 10pm - this usually includes the stores open until midnight.
On Sunday May 30, most Asda superstores will open for only six hours from either 10am or 11am, until 4pm or 5pm.
On the bank holiday itself, the majority of Asda stores will be opening 8am to 8pm.
Although in our research for this article, some Asda stores will be opening a little earlier on the bank holiday.
Some stores report they will be opening at 7am and some even 6am - although they all report closing at 8pm.
From Tuesday, Asda stores will return to their normal opening hours.
Some of the supermarket's stores are open 24 hours a day and these opening times also change over the bank holiday.
The majority of 24 hour sites open from 12am to 10pm on Saturdays - this is due to Sunday trading laws, and open back up again for six hours on Sunday.
Most 24 hour sites are reporting that they will be opening from 8am to 8pm on the early may bank holiday.
It should be noted that all Scottish Asda stores will run under normal trading hours on the Bank Holiday Monday.
