Asda has launched an extensive new range of vegan food products, with more than 112 new items.
The popular supermarket giant is known and loved for its wide range of household essentials and groceries. With the arrival of a new year comes resolutions, with many people keen to change up their diets.
Every January, many take on the challenge of Veganuary, forgoing all animal products for the entire month. With that in mind, Asda’s new OMV! and Plant Based ranges aims to make it a little easier.

There’s more than 112 high-quality product that aim to really pack a punch. The OMV! range contains decadent, tasty treats while the Plant Based range offers nutritionally balanced meat-free meals that don’t compromise on flavour.
New for January 2023, Asda’s OMV! Hot & Spicy No Chicken Burgers (£2.25) are prepared with a succulent pea and wheat protein blend and encased in a zingy hot and spicy crumb, and can be accompanied by the OMV! Brioche Burger Buns (£1.15).
There’s also items in the Plant Based by Asda range suitable for a fry up, with bacon style rashers which can be paired with the OMV! No Pork Caramelised Red Onion Sausages (£2).
There’s also classics like macaroni cheese, faux chicken wraps, vegan prawn sandwiches, and more up for grabs, while those with a sweet tooth can snap up a variety of decadent treats including brownies, salted fudge bars and more.
Meat-loving ‘Married at First Sight’ star Zoe Clifton has been announced as the unlikely ambassador for the brand’s new OMV! and Plant Based by Asda ranges. Well known vegan-sceptic Zoe is vowing to go vegan for the month of January, eating products from the ranges and sharing her verdict on vegan cuisine. She will be supported by her plant-based partner Jenna.
The full range of will be available to buy in-store throughout 2023, with select products also available to buy online as of January 4. Throughout January, customers who spend £5 on vegan own-brand products (OMV! and Plant Based by Asda) can also earn £1 back in their cash pot in the Asda Rewards app. You can find your nearest Asda store here.
