Asda has launched an Elf-themed cake jar that costs £1.25 less than the popular M&S snacks.
The retailer has launched four new elf-themed bkery products in time for the festive season. This comes after the success of Asda's Christmas advert, which sees Will Ferrell's character Buddy the Elf join the supermarket as the latest seasonal worker.
Priced at £3, the Festive Elf Cake Jar is made up of layers of chocolate sponge with chocolate sauce, sweet frosting and edible sugar sprinkles finished with an elf's hat. The cake jar is £1.25 less than Marks and Spencer's Cookie Dough Cake Jar.

Also in the new range is the Festive Elf Chocolate Party Cake - ideal for those hosting Christmas parties. The cake costs £6.50 and features a chocolate sponge topped with indulgent milk chocolate buttercream frosting, jelly beans and sugar decorations. The cake is said to serve up to 15 people.
The final item in the range is the Giant Elf Sharing Cookie. The vegan cookie boasts dark chocolate chips and is decorated with sugar paste and sprinkles. Priced at £8, the cookie serves up to 12 people.
The four new Elf-themed bakery items are available in selected Asda stores and online now. You can find your nearest Asda store here.
