Asda issues 'do not eat' warning for mince pies as products urgently recalled

Asda is recalling a range of its own brand of mince pies due to safety fears as customers are being urged not to eat them.

The Food Standards Agency (FSA) issued the alert for three Asda Extra Special Mince Pies because they may contain pieces of plastic, which makes them unsafe to eat.

Customers are being urged to return them to their nearest store immediately, where they can get a full refund. You do not need to have your receipt to get your money back.

The Asda mince pies being recalled come in three flavours - Apple & Pecan Crumble, Extra Indulgent and Crumble Top.
