Shoppers are flocking to ASDA after the supermarket chain announced a new shop selling items for £1 in its stores. The new addition to the supermarket has already gone viral on social media, and people can't wait to try it out.
As the cost of living crisis worsens, shoppers are looking for ways to cut down their bills as much as possible. ASDA's new in-store shop allows people to indulge in the things they love, without spending more than they need to, reports MyLondon.
Shoppers can now find a 'cake shop' in some ASDA supermarkets, and people are saying the doughnuts are 'better than Krispy Kreme'. Individual doughnuts cost £1 each - while a Krispy Kreme usually costs above £2.

Shoppers can also mix and match three doughnuts for £2.50,or six for £4.50. A dozen Krispy Kremes costs £15.95.
The British retail chain unveiled the in-store bakery feature on its official Instagram account (@asda) on Monday October 24. Beginning the post with "Say hello to the NEW Cake Shop", the caption went on "It's the donut collection of dreams, need we say more? Mix and match our delicious new flavours from just £1!"
Customers quickly flooded the Instagram's comments section with messages, with several tagging friends or leaving heart-eyed emojis. One user wrote "Oh just looooooooook at these" followed by a happy emoji with its tongue out. Another commented: "mate!!! Prices are looking a lot better than crispy cremes lol".
Nor were they the only shopper to compare the brand's new stall to Krispy Kreme's kiosks, with users @totallylee and @funny_mumma also likening the two. A third comment read "Hope our Asda gets this", with others saying "hopefully we'll get one in our Asda" or describing new in-store feature as a "dream come true".
However, some shoppers were distracted by the stall's name, writing "I’m so triggered by the name and yet not seeing a single cake". Another commented: "Why's it not called a doughnut shop".
Manchester Evening News has contacted ASDA to find out which stores the cake shop is coming to.
