Asda George shoppers question the supermarket's new 'fenomenal' range

George has launched its new spring womenswear with the strapline 'feel fenomenal' - but not all shoppers are impressed.

The range, which is sold online and in Asda stores, includes bright jumpsuits, checked dresses and bold green 'all good' jumpers. Some of the clothes were shared on the brand's Instagram page with the 'feel fenomenal' hashtag.

A spokesperson wrote: "Rumour has it we have 20% ALL womenswear, online NOW! Prices start from £11.20! Run, don't walk..!"

However, some customers questioned the new range. Annabel Tyrell wrote: "I don’t want to be a killjoy - but I’m not sure ‘fenomenal’ works. I understand it’s meant to be a play on words but definitely just looks like a spelling mistake."

While Christine Flaherty wrote on Facebook: "I used to get nearly all of my clothes from George but not anymore, I don't know who they're designing for but I think the stuff is horrible." And Michaela Williams said: "Clothes in Asda have gone down big time over the last few years hardly buy any thing in there any more."

Away from fashion, George also has an extensive homeware section and more than 300 people liked the image of the retailer's hammock, selling for just £7.
