Asda has announced a big change to its Christmas home delivery service for the first time ever.
Its festive home delivery service will now include the option for customers to have their shopping delivered on Christmas Eve. Asda has also boosted its online delivery capacity this year and will have more than one million home delivery click & collect slots available the week before Christmas.
Slots will open for delivery pass customers on October 18 and for all other customers on October 25. To help customers prepare for the big day, Asda will offer the home delivery service on Christmas Eve across all 633 stores with the last delivery slot between 3pm and 4pm.

The popular retailer is also operating delivery services from a limited number of stores on Boxing Day and New Year’s Day. Online customers can shop Asda’s 'largest ever' Christmas range, which includes more than 280 premium ‘Extra Special’ products.
Shoppers can tuck into giant sharing mince pies, chocolate baubles, Tomahawk Wellington steak and much more. There will also be an option to add homewares and general merchandise for delivery with an online food shop.
Simon Gregg, Asda’s Senior Vice President of E-commerce, said: "Many customers are already planning for the big day as we are seeing thousands of festive-related searches on Asda.com.
"To help them get a head start with preparations, we’re releasing our delivery slots earlier this year and have more slots available than ever before during the week before Christmas. With over a million slots available, including deliveries on Christmas Eve for the first time, we’re confident customers will be able to secure their preferred delivery slot.”
