A retail giant is set to bring a jobs boost to Lanarkshire with a new store opening in the area.
Matalan are advertising for both permanent and temporary staff in East Kilbride.
It is a much-needed boost for the town and particularly retail, which has been hit hard in recent times with the loss of big names such as Debenhams from the town centre.
Matalan have yet to confirm the location of the new store.
The advert from the retailer states: "We are looking for some great sales assistants to join our amazing team.
"We have a number of permanent and temporary sales assistants roles with a range of part-time contracts from four hours to 24 hours per week.
"This is a great opportunity to play a key role in opening a new store and setting it up to succeed.
"As a sales assistant you will play a key role in achieving our sales whilst living our Matalan value’s."
Matalan have been contacted for comment.
