Navarro, to her credit, put up a strong fight in the second set, breaking Sabalenka's serve when she served for the match at 5-4. However, Sabalenka regrouped in the tiebreaker, winning seven consecutive points to secure her spot in the final.
In the championship match, Sabalenka will face either Jessica Pegula or Karolina Muchova. Pegula, the No. 6 seed, recently scored a significant victory over top-seeded Iga Swiatek to reach the semifinals, while Muchova, an unseeded player from the Czech Republic, has a history of success in Grand Slam tournaments.
The semifinal between Pegula and Muchova was set to take place later on Thursday under the lights at Arthur Ashe Stadium, promising another exciting matchup in the women's singles competition at the U.S. Open.
