Kottakkal Arya Vaidya Sala will celebrate its Founder’s Day on April 9. Health Minister Veena George will inaugurate the celebrations in front of Vaidya Sala headquarters Kailasamandiram at Kottakkal at 4 p.m.
K.K. Abid Husain Thangal will preside over the function. Former Jharkhand Governor Prabhat Kumar will be the chief guest. He will deliver the Founder’s Day address.
Journalist Venkitesh Ramakrishnan will deliver the P.S. Varier Memorial Lecture. Dramatist Omchery N.N. Pillai will commemorate P.S. Varier.
A souvenir on the 150th birth anniversary of Arya Vaidya Sala founder Vaidyaratnam P.S. Varier will be released at the function. N. Biji’s book titled Keraleeya Drisya Vedium P.S. Variyarude Sangeeta Natakangalum, and Vivek Vijayan’s book on P.K. Warrier titled As Memory Unfolds will be released at the function.
Arya Vaidya Sala managing trustee and chief physician P.M. Varier will give away the annual awards for meritorious Ayurveda students at the function.
