Bored Panda reached out to Soosh to learn more about her creative process and herself. The artist shared that her journey as an illustrator began long before she knew such a word. She's been creating art since she was a kid. "It began when I was a child, drawing, sketching, taking every opportunity and every piece of paper (or wall, or sofa) to create my art."

Using mostly soft pastel and earthy colors, Soosh brings a warm touch to her art. Her illustrations are all about children, parenting, and the special bond within families. With gentle strokes of color, she captures the essence of the joy, love, and togetherness that make families unique.
The artist told us that her creative process is completely random. "Ideas, images, concepts just come to me, I don’t look for them or think about them. I have always been interested in people and interactions between them. I like to observe people, and the way they make me feel finds its way after in drawings."

We asked Soosh if there are any artists or art movements that have influenced her work. "I think a lot of what I've seen has influenced my work," the artist shared. "From the top of my head that would be: Hayao Miyazaki, for example; Gustav Klimt; Leonardo De Vinci, etc. I love impressionists and not so much cubism or abstract works."

When it comes to her favorite illustration, Soosh finds that it's always the one she's working on at the moment. "Once it’s done, I cool down and have no particular attachment to the finished piece."

"I don’t make art by thinking of what kind of message to include. I could say I send the message of love, family unity, humanity.. etc. but in reality, whatever messages, ideas, or thoughts people take from my work are their own. My part is to create just because, to express something I often cannot describe properly or envision clearly yet when the illustration is done, I see it right there."
On Soosh's Instagram, people from all over the world connect with her loving illustrations. It's amazing how her art brings people together, no matter where they are.
