Arthur Melo is said to have been convinced to join Liverpool by a 'late night phone call' following the side's dramatic victory against Newcastle United.
Jordan Henderson's injury during the win at Anfield meant the England international is the latest name to be added to the list this season, with an agreement for Arthur reportedly being drawn up almost immediately.
With Jurgen Klopp himself claimed to have been part of the late negotiations, the Juventus man now looks set to join the Reds in time for this weekend's crucial Merseyside derby.

According to Italian outlet TuttoMercato, an agreement was being put in place for a move to Sporting Lisbon, before Liverpool opted to reach out and bypass any previous talks between both Arthur and the Portuguese club yesterday evening.
Also rumoured to have been close to agreeing a deal with Arsenal in January of this year, Liverpool are said to have called the midfielder straight after last night's win over Newcastle.
The Reds are now in talks over a season-long loan move for Arthur as they look to wrap up a deal before the 11pm deadline this evening.
Should they get the deal over the line, Arthur will provide a crucial extra body in what is set to be yet another action-packed campaign for Klopp's side.
