Arsenal's busy summer transfer window continues to heat up as Mikel Arteta prepares his side for the upcoming Premier League season. Five players have already made their way through the doors in the transfer window, with over £100million spent so far.
It comes as the Spaniard looks to improve upon last campaign, where his side narrowly missed out on a return to the Champions League and will have to settle for Europa League football. Squad depth and quality were a pressing issue for Arteta and one that he has looked to address.
The new signings have helped with that, but plenty more could still be on their way. One of whom may be Juventus midfielder Arthur Melo, who has been linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium for many months now.

While initial interest was reported back in January, the Gunners appear to have revived their pursuit of the Brazilian. With that said, football.london takes a look at the latest on Arthur's transfer to Arsenal.
Arsenal twist
Despite some reports, Arsenal have not submitted a bid for Arthur as things stand, according to Fabrizio Romano. The transfer guru adds that there also haven't been any negotiations over a move for the midfielder since January, where a potential deal broke down.
Romano also confirms that talks with Valencia are ongoing, though Juventus would have to pay the main part of his salary for a loan to the Spanish club.
La Liga competition
Arsenal face competition from Valencia for the signature of Arthur this summer, reports Gianluca di Marzio. Gennaro Gattuso, the new boss of the Spanish side, is said to be very keen on a move for the Brazilian, presenting a potential issue for the Gunners in their pursuit.
Central midfield priority
A central midfielder is at the top of the transfer priority list for Arsenal in the remainder of the window, football.london understands. The Gunners have been linked with the likes of Youri Tielemans and Lucas Paqueta alongside Arthur in recent weeks.
Revived interest
Arsenal have revived their interest in Arthur this summer as they look to add more depth to the squad in the transfer window, reports TuttoJuve. The report claims that a loan deal is on the table, with Juventus keen to move the player on in order to conduct their own deals in the midfield.
It also adds that a potential permanent option could be included for the Brazilian come the end of the campaign that could see him switch to north London, if he impresses.
Previous interest
Arsenal were said to be interested in a move for Arthur back in January, with a loan move on the cards with Juventus for the midfielder. However, a deal never materialised as the Gunners failed to add any more players to their ranks for the rest of the season.
