Two suspects have appeared in court charged with arson in connection with a blaze on a £40,000 canal boat.
Two fire engines from Runcorn and Widnes were called to the Bridgewater Canal at Canal Reach in Windmill Hill, Runcorn, at 7.42pm on Wednesday, September 7. Crews doused the flames with hose jets.
Adam Lloyd, 35, of Riversdale, Frodsham, and Jackie Lloyd, 53, of Riversdale and different house number, Frodsham, appeared at North Cheshire Magistrates’ Court in Warrington on Friday, each charged with arson intending to destroy or damage property or being reckless as to whether such property would be destroyed or damaged.
