Following the devastating impact of the Palisades Fire in the Los Angeles area, the Los Angeles Fire Department Chief, Kristin Crowley, provided an update during a news conference on Thursday. Crowley mentioned that arson investigators are actively engaged in determining the origin of the fire.

A specialized team of 21 officials, which includes 16 arson investigators and a fire accelerant detection dog, has been assigned to the case by the LAFD. This team is working tirelessly to gather evidence and analyze the circumstances surrounding the start of the Palisades Fire.

The Palisades Fire ignited around 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday and has rapidly spread, covering approximately 17,234 acres of land, as reported by Crowley.
